Every student needs help sometimes, and often that help is needed in English. From basics like punctuation, spelling and grammar right up to narrative writing, proof reading and literary analysis. The Australian curriculum is thorough and there are various challenges that pop up for students over the years. At some point most students could use some help and an English tutor does just that - help! Ideally that help comes before the student has formed a negative cycle or fallen into a no-effort habit.
What we do is facilitate that help as a home service, we'll organise an in-home English tutor in Silverwater, or wherever it is convenient for you.
A local Silverwater English tutor will come to you at a time and day of your chosing and offer tutoring help in a manner tailored for your child's unique situation. The first lesson works as a trial so that if your child doesn't connect well with the tutor, you don't have to pay and we can organise someone else for you.
The terms of service are super simple too. No contracts or minimum hours or cancellation fees or anything like that. You get charged a simple hourly rate. That's it.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Lucy puts pen to paper when working through the problem. She is showing more working and is not having to be reminded to do so as much. She is working out what is being asked of her and how to solve it correctly
Madeline's attitude towards mathematics has improved a lot. She has become more confident with her maths which is good to see. It is good Madeline works through all the questions in each exercise and is willing to go through the ones she is not so sure of again in order to clarify her understanding. Madeline has developed good study habits which is good to see, especially in her final year of school.
One of Claire's problem areas is in the fundamentals of algebra. This month, given their light workload from school, I have given both Claire and Minnie revision exercises that cover terms 2 and 3 (angles, measurement, algebra etc) and she has struggled with some of these concepts, which are building blocks for the coming years. I intend to place some additional focus on these areas to supplement what they are doing in class.

Thanks for all your help with Griffin over the years. Its really made a difference to his grades.
We are very pleased with the tutoring and Nafuil is a very pleasant young man and easy to talk to. I was a bit concerned that Autumn might be a bit shy with him but she really likes him and all is well. Nafiul has advised that Autumn only has small gaps in her knowledge and he is assisting her with gaining this knowledge.
Cassandra has told me that her new tutor DJ has an excellent teaching style. He shows her every step of a maths problem and encourages questions. DJ also goes to the effort of making up personalised worksheets for her based on her maths book. Thank you, DJ, the effort is appreciated.
