What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring gives me the opportunity to help students understand and consolidate new and often challenging concepts. Sharing my knowledge and passion for the subjects I tutor is incredibly rewarding, as I can help students feel more confident in their studies and become independent learners. As a tutor, I feel accomplished when my students learn from past mistakes, get that "Aha!" moment and ultimately achieve their academic goals.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As someone who struggled with the transition from primary school to high school Maths, I know what it is like to feel overwhelmed by challenging concepts. By learning to identify and target my weaknesses early on, I was able to adapt my study and note-taking techniques, ultimately ranking in the top 10 in Mathematics Advanced at school. As a tutor, I can tailor my teaching methods to accommodate students of all skill levels and needs, and target problem areas efficiently.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to recognise that every student has different learning styles, strengths and weaknesses. Being patient and working at the student's pace is incredibly important in promoting a positive learning environment. Allowing the student to feel comfortable in asking questions they might not otherwise ask at school, can help the student grasp difficult concepts and motivate them to achieve their goals.
