What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The best thing about tutoring, in my opinion, was how much it improved my academic performance. My tutor's explanations finally made sense to me, and the additional help I received, especially when I was stuck, gave me the confidence I needed. It was more important to feel less overwhelmed than it was to simply comprehend the subject matter. I want to support and someone else in the same way because of that experience.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
When someone is stuck, my ability to clearly and methodically explain concepts is one of my strengths as a tutor. I know how annoying that can be because I've been in that situation. In addition, I'm patient and a good listener; I try to pinpoint the exact source of someone's confusion so that I can adjust my explanation. I also always try to be supportive and encouraging.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Building a student's confidence, helping them understand the material in a way that makes sense to them, and fostering a supportive environment where they feel free to ask questions are, in my opinion, the three most crucial things a tutor can do for a student. A good tutor should make learning seem more doable and less scary, promote development, and acknowledge little accomplishments.
