What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity to teach young kids and get creative with my teaching style. During my time tutoring Myanmar refugee students, I especially enjoyed being able to customise each lesson to suit the individual needs of the students. Furthermore, seeing their progress over time was incredibly rewarding. I've always loved working with children and genuinely enjoy having fun with them while helping them learn.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I would say my greatest strengths as a tutor are my patience, clarity in explaining concepts, strong organisational skills, and my bubbly personality. I'm able to adapt my approach depending on the student, which helps create a comfortable and engaging learning environment for all. I also try to make lessons both effective and enjoyable so students feel motivated and supported.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe one of the most important things a tutor can do is provide support and clarity in areas the student is struggling with. I understand that it can sometimes feel intimidating to ask for help, so I make it a priority to create a safe and understanding environment where students feel comfortable expressing their concerns. Furthermore, for younger children, maintaining focus can be challenging, so I will try to adapt my lessons to keep them engaged and make learning enjoyable.

Cassandra brings hands-on experience in tutoring mathematics to students aged 6 to 18, including supporting Myanmar refugee learners with diverse educational backgrounds. She has also served as a volunteer mentor for children aged 8 to 11, where she tailored activities and teaching methods to suit each child’s needs.
