What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy tutoring because I love helping students understand concepts they once found hard and watching their confidence grow. Being a Peer Support Leader showed me how meaningful it is to guide others, and my customer service experience at McDonalds and Chemist Warehouse taught me how rewarding it is to solve problems and support people. Tutoring lets me bring all of that together to make learning feel easier and more positive for students.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strengths are clear communication, patience, and the ability to build trust. Working almost three years at McDonalds helped me stay calm under pressure and explain things simply, and Chemist Warehouse taught me accuracy and attention to detail. Combined with my academic achievements like participating in the Da Vinci Decathlon and achieving a High Distinction in AMC, I bring both strong subject understanding and strong people skills that help students learn comfortably.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important things a tutor can do are make students feel supported, break concepts down clearly, and help them build real confidence. My experience at McDonalds and Chemist Warehouse taught me patience and problem-solving, while being a Peer Support Leader showed me how powerful encouragement can be. A tutor should help students feel capable and help foster a love for learning, and thatβs what I aim to do.
