I am currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), majoring in Civil Engineering with a sub-major in Construction. My degree involves advanced mathematics and problem-solving at Extension 1 and 2 levels; however, I completed Mathematics Standard 2 in high school. Because of this, I genuinely understand what it feels like to find maths challenging. With the right guidance and clear explanations, I was able to achieve success at a high level, and I now help students do the same. I focus on building confidence, teaching step-by-step strategies, and creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and believing in their abilities.
I achieved an HSC mark of 86 in Mathematics Standard 2 and placed second in my cohort, maintaining a strong mathematics average from year 7 through to year 12. I have a well-rounded understanding of all mathematical concepts and explain them in clear, detailed steps that help students truly understand why methods work, not just how to memorise them. I challenge students at the right level to help reach their greatest potential, supporting them with structured notes, guided practice, and strategies that build strong muscle memory. Throughout high school, classmates regularly came to me for help with maths, as I was always eager to support others and help them succeed, an approach I continue to bring into my tutoring.
I achieved a HSC mark of 88 in Business Studies and placed second in my cohort, giving me a strong understanding of what exam markers look for in high-scoring responses. I provide students with carefully prepared resources, including clear and polished notes that break down complex concepts, high-quality real-world examples, and model essays that have received 100%. My approach is designed to build confidence, improve exam technique, and give students a genuine competitive edge in the HSC, while supporting them every step of the way.
