What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Connecting with students as a tutor, and being able to witness their progress with a subject they dislike/struggle with is always a fulfilling experience. I enjoy communicating with and understanding the students as a mentor/guide, aiding them throughout their learning as it brings a sense of pride to see their accomplishments and improvement.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor my biggest strength lies in my ability to find different perspectives/ways of understanding the struggle different students face. Since hesitation with learning can manifest in a variety of ways, unique to the student, I have the capacity to identify the root of the problem while relaying important concepts in the best suited manner.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Since tutoring is a job which is supposed to aid students in addition to school/extra learning resources, the most important ability for a tutor to have is being able to provide means of communication which differ from traditional methods. Being attentive to each student they teach, finding different ways of explaining certain concepts, and being able to recognise the specific needs of their students is key in providing the best educational mentorship as it makes up for what school/standard learning means ultimately lack.

About Sia
Creative English Tutor with Real Classroom Experience
Sia is a recent high school graduate who has already spent several years privately tutoring a Year 7–9 student in English, visual arts and music. She is confident working with younger learners and knows how to break down tricky concepts into clear, manageable steps. Drawing on her own success in school English, she helps students strengthen their writing, comprehension and exam skills, while keeping lessons engaging with creative tasks like short stories, script work and visual prompts.
Engaging Lessons Through Music, Arts and Performance
With strong involvement in school musicals, performance showcases and concert band, this tutor brings a lively, creative energy to every session. Sia often uses music, drama and visual art examples to explain English themes and vocabulary, which helps students who don’t respond to dry textbook learning. Her experience performing in ensembles means she understands different personalities and learning styles, and she uses that insight to build confidence in quieter students and channel the energy of more active ones.
Disciplined, Motivated and a Positive Role Model
Sia’s background in mixed martial arts and youth aviation programmes shows real discipline, focus and resilience—qualities she models for her students. Through science and defence work experience, she has learnt to stay organised, follow instructions carefully and think logically, which she applies when helping students plan essays or prepare for tests. She balances high expectations with a friendly, downtoearth style, aiming to make each student feel capable, supported and proud of their progress.
