Why would you ever need to know about combustion, corrosion, and electrochemical processes? Most students wonder about that too, especially if they don't plan on going into science.
Chemistry can seem abstract, learning about elements and matter, how equilibrium occurs and how chemical systems react. No wonder students get discouraged.
All it takes for a student to go from a mild distaste for chemistry to understanding what is scribbled in the textbook is someone to point out what to avoid and where to put in that extra hour of revision. It's like with any problem situation in schooling and even in their personal life, students need to know about using effective strategies. Then all you need is persistence, staying on task until you reach your goal.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
So far I have completed two classes with Mr.Matthew. From this two classes, I noticed he pretty much satisfied with my teaching. Mr. Matthew is a good listener whenever I explained something new. However, he needs to develop some self-confidence when he encounters to solve the mathematics problems.
Luke hasn't been putting in as much effort as I think is required for how far behind he is. Although we have had a lot of lessons over the last month, it is still impossible for me to cover all the content we need and to set aside time for him to practice. He needs to practice questions after I leave so he doesn't forget them, and to test that he has a good understanding of the topic.
Eleanor has had very few problems in mathematics at the moment, she grasps algebra easily. As she has been doing some physics practicals, she was exposed to working with data in different units for one of the first times. However, she was able to identify that her equations were producing strange answers, and I taught her how to check whether her units are correct to fix this.
Working for Ezy Math Tutoring has given me confidence as a maths tutor. I began without much formal experience and the CEP program was able to teach me as i tutored. Working with Ezy Math Tutoring has given me the opportunity to excel students skills and capability in mathematics. The biggest accomplishment as a tutor is seeing a student's face light up when the solve a problem. It makes me proud to see that students have responded well to my teaching methods and that they attain a sense of satisfaction from learning. I came to ezy maths tutoring to meet new people and gain further experience working with eager students. Ezy maths tutoring has taught me patience, understanding and to sincerely enjoy teaching and learning. I would recommend Ezy maths tutoring to individuals who are eager and determined to develop a more thorough understanding of mathematics and develop an appreciation of the subject and the tutors hard work. 18th July 2012
