What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I particularly enjoy the aspect of helping or assisting another with problems that may be daunting to them and being able to assist in a non-judgemental or disrespectful manner. Due to the fact that unfortunately several students may have difficulties with particular teachers or staff at schools so I strongly believe it is rather beneficial for a student to get advice from a non-biased info individual.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe I present myself in a manner that does not come across as intimidating, which I think is very important in a teacher student environment. I additionally believe that as I am a relatively young tutor, I have the ability to relate to several students who may be daunted by or not fully enjoy the concept of an older tutor.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important aspect of tutoring for me would be the empathy and patience for students. As a student that in my youth, there was an enormous amount of pressure to succeed in academic activities, I know that being pressured by these ideas or concepts can be very confusing and stressful. So, I think being there for a student and never judging them if they are having difficulties is the most important aspect of tutoring.

About Bodhi

Experienced Maths and English Tutor for Years 7–12

Bodhi is an experienced tutor who works with students in Maths, English, Chemistry and Human Biology from Years 7–12. He focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps and checking understanding as he goes, so students don’t feel left behind. Through regular tutoring, he has supported a range of learning needs and helped younger peers build confidence in class. His strong communication skills mean he can explain the same idea in different ways until it finally “clicks” for each student.

Leadership, Mentoring and Study Skills

As a former college leader and peer mentor, this tutor has supported younger students both academically and pastorally, helping them settle into school, manage workload and prepare for assessments. He has helped organise assemblies and school events, which has strengthened his organisation and time management—skills he passes on to students when planning study routines. Parents can expect a tutor who not only teaches content, but also coaches effective study habits and exam strategies.

Science Background, Critical Thinking and Creative Interests

Studying biomedical science, Bodhi brings a strong grounding in human biology and scientific thinking, which is especially valuable for students taking Science, Chemistry or Human Biology alongside Maths and English. He encourages logical reasoning, step-by-step problem solving and clear written explanations in every session. Outside academics, he is a self-taught pianist with performance experience, and he often uses creative examples and analogies to make abstract ideas more engaging and memorable for students.
