What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love the pure teaching aspect of tutoring and feeling of joy when someone understands a concept I explain to them. Creatively thinking of anecdotes and broken down concepts to help someone understand is very fun and also fills me with pride when I see it works.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths would be able to break difficult concepts down and think of creative ways/anecdotes to help a student understand a problem or concept. I am also quite a patient person who will persist with different ways to help someone understand a concept.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I would say firstly, helping them understand any issues, problems or concepts they're struggling to understand, and out side box thinking to achieve that. It is also the tutors duty to fill the student with confidence and help guide them there.

About Vasili

Engineering-minded tutor who makes Maths feel practical and clear

Vasili is an engineering and commerce student who brings strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking into every Maths session. He is used to breaking down complex ideas from his own degree into smaller, manageable steps, and applies the same approach when helping school students. By linking concepts to real-world examples from engineering and everyday life, he helps students see why topics matter, not just how to pass a test. This tutor is especially effective with students who feel overwhelmed by multi-step problems.

Experienced school workshop leader with proven communication skills

Through his volunteer work running sustainability workshops in primary and secondary schools, Vasili has hands-on experience engaging young learners in classroom-style settings. He has planned and delivered sessions that keep students involved through questions, demonstrations and discussion, rather than just talking at them. This background means he knows how to adjust explanations for different ages and abilities, and how to keep a class focused. Parents can expect a tutor who is comfortable leading learning, not just quietly supervising homework.

Calm, organised support that builds confidence and independence

Working in busy customer-facing roles, Vasili has developed patience, empathy and clear communication, which carry directly into his tutoring style. He listens carefully to what a student finds confusing, then organises their work into simple steps and realistic goals. He is highly organised with time management, so sessions stay structured and productive. Rather than just giving answers, this tutor encourages students to talk through their thinking, helping them grow in confidence and become more independent learners in both Maths and English-related tasks.
