What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
As a tutor, I find the act of imparting knowledge extremely rewarding. There is a specific kind of energy in the room when a student moves from frustration to "I actually get this" and knowing your explanation was what got them there is a powerful motivator. Alongside this, explaining a concept makes me understand it at a much more fundamental level than just studying it.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strengths as a tutor lie in my ability to explain complex logic at each student's level by approaching each situation with care. Through my experience as a Postgraduate IT Peer Mentor at Monash and as a Teaching Assistant, I have developed a unique perspective that allows me to adapt my teaching patterns to each student's specific level of frustration. With a 3.88/4.00 GPA in my Master of Data Science, I combine technical knowledge with a deep empathy for the learnerβs journey, which makes me an effective and relatable tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do is improve a student's belief in their own capability. Beyond the technical level, a tutor serves as the source for reduce the difficulties in the student's approach to learning. Ultimately, a tutor provides the clarity and encouragement that turns a challenge into a stepping stone for the student's future success.
