What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
There is nothing more frustrating than feeling stuck with no-one to turn to. I've been lucky to have support surrounding me when I need it, so I could ask for help. Now I am able to do this for others. I can teach online through Zoom (preferred - I don't drive), or in-person if its not too far away from home.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I genuinely enjoy learning and have strengths in maths, english and physics. I am naturally curious and want to understand the full picture of how something works, including unpacking concepts in different ways. This trait supports my enthusiasm for helping others, and to be able to explain things in a logical manner that may be different to what they may have heard in a classroom environment. I'm also known for my work ethic and happy approach to working with people.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Support - that's what we're here for. Primarily for academic support, assisting them in understanding and boosting their learning in difficult situations, but it's more than that. Having someone you can speak freely with, and rely on, in those vulnerable situations is important for any student. Good tutors provide a sense of security and reassurance to students and help them see their existing strengths.

About Hayley
Why me?
I am a first year Engineering student at Curtin Uni. I graduated in 2025 with a 96 ATAR. I don't see myself as a person who naturally learns, but have worked hard to get results. I have a clear understanding of a range of tutoring techniques and study concepts for all ages. Most of all, the experience needs to be engaging and a little bit of fun.
Strengths
I have strengths in maths, physics and english. STEM is my passion. I have been recognised for my commitment and results with a Women in STEM scholarship, as well as an Amanda Young Foundation Scholarship.
A little bit extra ...
Music, singing, sport, reading and gaming are my go-to when I'm not studying. Oh, and I have two of the cutest cats in the world that keep me entertained.
