What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to properly help in other students' academic success and love seeing others succeed as a result of my assistance.
It all started when I first started helping my mates out during years 11 & 12 in academic areas that they struggled with. We would sometimes run library sessions and discord calls just to help each other out while the exam block came closer. Due to this collaboration, we all ended up receiving very good results, and pretty much everybody's ATAR was in the 98-99 range.
Seeing these amazing results made we want to continue helping others out.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I have a very good understanding of the content explored in the current syllabus for all the subjects I can teach.
However stepping beyond this, I'm able to break down concepts all the way down to the fundamentals to ensure that whoever I am helping understands the content fully and continues to leading up to their exams.
Furthermore, I believe I can create a collaborative environment where the student feels comfortable and prioritised rather than just teaching them off a textbook, making them motivated to learn and more confident during stressful exam/assignment periods.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I feel that the tutoring experience should be collaborative rather than just a teacher-student environment.
It's extremely important that the student is genuinely willing to learn more, where by creating a more genuine connection with the student in a collaborative space, it makes them feel more comfortable showing up to lessons.
It's also very important that the tutor makes sure the student feels confident by checking up on their wellbeing and how they feel, rather than just simply teaching them content and going over questions they don't understand.
