What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing students achieve their academic goals and build up their confidence in their abilities. It is very rewarding to use my knowledge to make a positive impact on their learning. I also value tutoring as an opportunity to revisit fundamental concepts that remain relevant in my own studies. I love when they ask me questions that I had never thought about before, as it encourages me to continuously learn and improve.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

In addition to a strong academic foundation in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, I have prior experience as a volunteer high school tutor and am currently working with children in an after-school STEM program. I am hard-working, organised and reliable, with a strong commitment to my work and my students’ progress. I value feedback and implement it quickly. When helping students work through challenging concepts, I emphasize patience and resilience. Above all, I adapt my teaching to different learning styles and paces, and focus on explaining complex ideas in simple ways.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing I can do as a tutor is help my students build confidence in their ability to learn and solve problems. I know many students struggle not because of a lack of ability, but because of limiting beliefs such as ‘I can’t do this’ or ‘everyone else understands this’. I believe changing these thoughts is essential to their progress. It is equally important to help them develop study habits and strategies that lead to long term success. Ultimately, a tutor’s role is not only to improve grades but to help a student build a positive relationship with their studies and abilities.
