What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping students develop their skills and confidence to ultimately reach their full potential. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable trying new things and asking questions. I find it rewarding when the student I have tutored improves in their learning and academics.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I am patient and empathetic, which allows me to adapt my explanations of concepts depending on how a student learns best. I have strong communication skills, and I aim to make lessons engaging for the student by discussing with the student on how they learn best. Having gone through the high school experience myself and as a current university student, I also understand the pressures students face and can relate to their learning experiences, allowing me to best demonstrate my empathy and adapt teaching styles for each student's needs.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

One of the most important things a tutor can do is create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. They should empathise with the student and understand the difficult situation and academic pressures the student may be in. They should also be able to adapt to each student’s needs, encourage confidence and critical thinking, and help students develop effective study habits that will benefit them beyond a single subject or assessment.
