What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the moment a concept clicks for student and then you can see a spark as their confidence rises. I also enjoy trying to find different ways and approaches to deliver a concept, whether visually or by using some real life relatable examples to ensure that the student can thoroughly understand is my priority.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My patience and ability to adapt or change styles of teaching if we reach a roadblock is my strength. My background in designing learning experiences for children such as an AR game for children to learn math and a board game to teach them money management show my ability to make concepts engaging and interesting, instead of just delivering information. My training in SIP Abacus further strengthens my foundational mental arithmetic and number sense.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I strongly believe that building a student's confidence is a key first step. Ensuring that they can see their progress, which in turn makes them eager to learn more. I think it is important to break down problems into steps that feel achievable, and ensuring every session ends with them feeling more capable than when it started. I believe that progress should always feel visible to the student, not just the tutor.
