About Barry Edward
I am a retired civil engineer with a passion for maths.
My qualifications include Bachelor of Science (University of Sydney) with three years of maths, achieving a High Distinction in Applied Maths in the final year; Bachelor of Civil Engineering (First Class Honours at University of Sydney) and Master of Engineering Science (UNSW).
My teaching/tutoring experience is significant.
I taught maths at Sydney Technical College for 12 months before embarking on an engineering career. During a 45 year career, I mentored younger engineers in maths related aspects of structural design. I am familiar with the Queensland mathematics syllabus up to Year 12, having assisted my children (both now engineers), grandchildren and others with their maths.
