What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching a concept finally "click" for someone who was struggling. I love being able to make learning feel like an activity rather than a chore specifically in math, where many students feel intimidated. Having once struggled with math myself, I understand the frustration that can come with it, and I aim to create an environment where students feel encouraged, supported, and capable of success.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my biggest strengths as a tutor is my ability to adapt my teaching methods to suit different learning styles. I recognize that every student learns differently, so I adjust my explanations and techniques accordingly—whether through step-by-step breakdowns, real-world applications, or interactive problem-solving. I also focus on creating a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere, where students feel comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment, as their are no wrong questions.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Listen and adapt. In many cases tutoring is considered a final attempt to receive, and in most cases the issue isn't that a student cannot learn or is incapable of understanding concepts; rather, it is the fact that the teaching method does not work for them, so the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to listen to their student and help them accordingly. It is vital for a tutor to be able to adapt their lesson accordingly to make a student feel valued and heard, which in turn promotes a positive learning environment to which a student can be eager to learn in.
