What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most is the moment a concept finally clicks for a student after they've been stuck on it for a while. You can genuinely see it in their face. It's especially rewarding with students who've convinced themselves they're "bad" at a subject, because helping them realise they can actually do it changes how they see themselves, not just the content. I also love that no two students are the same, so I'm constantly adapting how I explain things rather than running the same script on repeat. It keeps the work engaging for me too.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My biggest strength is diagnosing why a student is stuck rather than just re-explaining the same way. I ask questions first to find the actual gap, then adapt my approach to that individual instead of using a fixed method. I'm also patient and good at reading when someone's engagement is dropping, so I can adjust before they switch off. And I check understanding properly. Getting students to explain concepts back. Rather than assuming a nod means it's landed.

Finally, protecting a student's confidence matters as much as content. Many come in believing they're "bad" at a subject, and rebuilding that belief is often what makes real progress.
