What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I am really passionate about studying maths and physics, and I find them very interesting. However, most people hate these subjects, which I really feel bad about. People hate it because they fail to understand it deeply. What I really enjoy is conveying my understanding of the subject and portraying Maths and Physics as a fun subject not an intimidating one.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My biggest strengths as a tutor are breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable parts, adapting my explanations to how each student thinks rather than repeating the same approach for everyone, and caring about whether the student genuinely enjoys the subject rather than just passing a test. These three things work together to help a student build real thinking skills and long term interest in what they're learning, not just short term results.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is not transfer facts but build a student's capacity to think. A good tutor teaches a student how to break a problem apart, ask the right questions, notice patterns, and reason from first principles instead of memorizing steps. These are transferable skills. A student who learns how to think through a hard geometry proof carries that same discipline into chemistry, into writing an essay, and into reading a legal contract years later.
