What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity to be the kind of educator who makes learning feel achievable. Having started school in Australia in Year 9, I experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to adapt to a new education system. Some of my teachers had a remarkable ability to explain complex ideas in a way that made them simple to understand, and that had a lasting impact on my confidence. I hope to provide that same experience for my students by creating a supportive environment where they feel encouraged to ask questions, develop confidence, and realise they are capable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Because I know what it feels like to be the student who has to catch up quickly, I naturally teach with empathy and patience. I don't assume every student learns the same way, so I adapt my explanations until they make sense to the individual rather than expecting the student to adapt to me.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe a tutor's role is not simply to improve marks, but to teach students how to think. When students understand the reasoning behind a concept instead of memorising answers, they develop skills that stay with them long after the lesson ends.
