What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to see students enjoy learning challenging material because they are able to understand the complex parts of it. I enjoy helping students go from being intimidated by a certain topic or disliking a certain topic, to having a clearer understanding of how things work then or having things click because it gives them motivation and helps them feel less overwhelmed by seemingly difficult material.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my strengths as a tutor is being patient and flexible to the students needs. Being a tutor is not a "one size fits all" job and I believe that teaching methods and pace need to be adapted to each individual student. I have experience tutoring peers and students who struggled to keep up with regular classes because their learning style did not fit with the methods that was used in a class, and my strength was the ability to meet them at their current level and break down challenging concepts so that they can intuitively understand concepts rather than just memorizing notes.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to give them motivation to learn and to help them not feel overwhelmed by challenges in school. Personally, I have experienced times in school where I felt demotivated to study because I did not fully understand what was being taught. Tutors, especially when working one-to-one with students can help them form a strong foundation in learning because they can tailor lessons to each individual student and ensure that they truly understand what was being taught. This way, students can have confidence when learning new things
