What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
After three years of tutoring Mathematical Methods (SACE), Business Studies, and Microeconomics, I've fallen in love with explaining. I found that the thing I love most is rather simple, it is to find the angle that finally makes a difficult concept understandable. Every time I teach, I'm reminded of a version of me who once worked hard to understand the same thing, and that keeps me patient and creative. I've met students of all backgrounds and paces, and I never assume I've "seen it all." My favourite moment in tutoring is always watching students' confusion turn into confidence.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Foremost, patience, because real understanding takes time. Next is empathy, because I was once the struggling student myself. After that is a focus on teaching rather than just speaking as I truly believe that talking at a student and ensuring they truly understand are very different things. And most importantly, an ability to spot a student's specific weak point and build lessons around it in order to fix the root weakness which in my opinion smooths the entire learning curve.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Not simply to finish the lesson, but to transform how the student perceives and studies the subject. I truly believe that a good session covers content, a great one leaves the student thinking, questioning, and studying better on their own.
