The most important thing a tutor can do is be patient with the individual and try to explain concepts in a way that doesn't feel foreign. It is important to link concepts with relatable ideas or hobbies the student may have so they can grasp them better. Patience is required because everybody learns at different paces, meaning it is not uniform.
