What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
while doing my placement, i really enjoyed helping students understand lessons and concepts more clearly. i found it incredibly rewarding to see students develop a better understanding of their work and become more confident in their own abilities. I especially enjoyed finding different ways to explain concepts and seeing the moment when something finally clicked for a student.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am hardworking and enthusiastic, and I am always willing to help, learn and take on new challenges. I am resilient and committed to putting time, patience and effort into everything I do. I am also willing to adapt to different situations and approaches to ensure I can provide the best support possible.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think a tutor should first create a comfortable and supportive environment where the student feels safe to ask questions and make mistakes. A tutor should understand the student's individual strengths and areas for improvement, explain concepts clearly and adapt their teaching approach when needed. most importantly, i believe a tutor should help students develop both their skills and their confidence so they become more independent learners.

About Sheryl
A Friendly and Supportive Tutor
I am friendly, patient, approachable and enjoy helping children learn and develop their confidence. I believe learning should be a positive experience, and I always aim to make students feel comfortable, supported and encouraged. I am happy to take the time to explain things in different ways until a student finds an approach that works for them.
My Approach to Learning
I understand that every student learns differently and may need a little extra encouragement with certain subjects or concepts. I like to create a relaxed environment where students can ask questions without feeling embarrassed. I am organised, reliable and willing to adapt activities and explanations to suit each student's learning style and pace.
A Little About Me
I am currently studying Primary Education and Psychology at Monash University. I am passionate about working with children and hope to build a career in education. Outside of university, I enjoy dancing and spending time with friends and family. I am also fluent in English and French, and I enjoy communicating with people from different backgrounds.
