What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Data Analytics was a major I studied at the University of Sydney, and I specialise in and enjoy designing predictive machine learning models for economic and financial data. What's unique is that we were also trained to communicate these technical insights to business stakeholders and work with them to shape strategies. Since then, I've enjoyed breaking down a maths or data concept to help people understand the real-world applications of this 'textbook' knowledge. Combined with the fact that I love interacting with children, explaining a maths concept in a way that makes them curious to learn more is what I look forward to.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am very contactable outside of tutoring hours to answer questions from both students and parents. For every lesson, I take notes on the topics covered and the student's performance, and I provide collective feedback to parents on a weekly basis. I actively listen to students' and parents' needs, and I am proactive outside of tutoring classes in tailoring weekly schedules and assignments for my students. I also build strong relationships with students beyond the subject itself. Math is a subject I love. I studied Data Analytics from the University of Sydney and will continue to pursue a long-term career in this field. My passion for math and my strong interpersonal skills motivate both me and my students to grow together.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Motivate students to show work processes, challenging their assumptions and rationales to become critical thinkers. I show enthusiasm for the subject and for the things students want to share, and to be proactive outside of tutoring hours in designing their weekly schedules. I explore all possibilities to help my student to enjoy Math and to also help them to be confident in school and in exams.
