What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I love being able to share my knowledge of a specific topic with a younger student and help them to understand. I would always enjoy learning new things in high school from people who had more experience and knowledge than me (and I still do in uni), so it feels great to be able to hand that on to the next person.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I believe I am patient when a student struggles to understand a concept. I am able to empathise with them and remember what I felt like while learning it.
I also think I am adept at explaining concepts in a way that the specific student will understand. Adapting my teaching methods to fit the student's learning style is something I believe I do well.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I feel it is a priority of the tutor to pass on their passion for learning and knowledge to their students. Once this has been accomplished, however long it takes, teaching content and having the student learn it quickly and confidently is simple.
Equally important is for the student to feel safe and respected around the tutor. If they do not feel comfortable in their environment or they feel as though the tutor is judging them for not having mastered a skill yet, then the likelihood that they will ever master it decreases.
