What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy explaining mathematical concepts to others. I feel it is so rewarding as a tutor to see how students progress in their studies. I also find it rewarding when students understand a concept that they have previously found difficult.

I think my strengths as a tutor include being patient, enthusiastic and encouraging. As a self-motivated person I give 100% in everything I do. I am friendly, easy going and have good communication skills. I do enjoy spending time explaining concepts.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor must be patient , engaging and enthusiastic. It is also important that the tutor is flexible in their tutoring methods because not all students learn in the same way. It is essential the tutor is able to recognise student's strength and weaknesses.

Needs Improvement

Naba found it a little difficult to recognise more complex sight words such as play and food. With more assistance from me, she was able to recognise these words in a sentence.

Maim picked up converting mixed numbers to improper fractions quickly. She started to recognise when fractions could be simplified and were able to rectify mistakes she made without me advising her. Maim also recognises ways to shorten sentences to become more concise with guidance.

Needs Improvement

We will continue to work on her writing skills. Maim still tends to write long sentences. With practice, she will improve her sentence structure skills.
