What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to mentor students and drive them to be confident in their academic abilities. The connections that I form with students and noticing the improvements that come with consistent effort is rewarding. I have enjoyed many aspects of my experience in tutoring primary-school students and it is fulfilling to give back value to my students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I possess good communication skills and am a good listener which allows me to better understand a student's situation and adopt the best teaching methods. Additionally, I am open to change and am flexible with the action plan that I create as I understand that each student's needs and the particular difficulties they are facing change as they progress.
Also, I am patient and willing to put in extra work to ensure my students understand each concept thoroughly. Moreover, I am friendly and have sustained a good relationship with each of my students whereby they enjoy the lessons.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor should provide tailored help to each student by understanding their weaknesses and the areas which they find difficult to foster growth and improvement over time. This is synonymous with giving students strategies to be independent learners and more effective learners. Alongside this, a tutor can motivate a student through their enthusiasm, inciting the student to apply themselves more and do better at school. Moreover, a tutor can be a role model for the student and can give guidance in other areas of life e.g. study habits to holistically improve a student's study skills and habits.
