What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being part of a student's journey is an exciting aspect of tutoring as the impact a tutor can have on a student's life can be very impactful. I enjoy building connections with students and seeing them grow and excel is very satisfying as I am passionate about helping all my students to develop confidence in their field of study. The journey also helps me to master my communication skills as well as my independence in relation to preparing for lessons and thinking creatively in order to cater to students' educational requirements. The challenging process is also intellectually stimulating.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths include emotional intelligence and patience as an individual which I believe is necessary whilst teaching as you must appreciate the intricate nature of students and provide a reassuring presence. I am confident in providing the leadership needed to guide students but also an empathetic listener, recognising that the relationship between the tutor and student is also a partnership. I'm dedicated to supporting my students and will also strive to ensure they are developing continuously which is strengthened by my organisational skills built from previous experience tutoring.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
It is important for tutors to help a student gain more confidence in their subject by developing their performance and dedicating lessons to supporting a student's educational needs. It is also important that as a tutor I design a detailed lesson plan that caters to each unique student's needs e.g. targeting weaknesses. Being approachable and supporting students is also an important aspect of what a tutor can do. A tutor's role is not to only improve the student's academic ability but continue to encourage them and build a rapport that helps them feel more confident in the long run.
