What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
During my past experience with tutoring, I have enjoyed interacting, working with, and getting to know the students. My experience taught me that the art of creating relationships is difficult. Through my interactions with students, I learnt that genuine connections are those that are relatable, trustful, and built over time. When I first began teaching, it was a challenge because I wasn’t able to connect with everybody. Over time, I realised the importance of developing your own way to connect with people because no one is the same and everyone requires distinct attention.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that I have a special ability to connect with students and have an overall approachable nature that means that students are able to open up to me, allowing me to help them to the best of my ability. With tutoring especially, its really important to ensure that students feel comfortable with sharing their ideas with you. Many times, students may not want to ask questions because they might think it is an irrelevant question, but I feel like I have found my own way of teaching that has worked for many of my past students and I believe will continue to work.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor has an integral part of a student's schooling journey. Obviously, a tutor is going to assist students with their academic needs, but there are also other important duties that a tutor must fulfill.
From my own experience, I can say that a great tutor seeks to understand the student's ambitions. This includes but is not limited to finding out if they need extra assistance to meet their goals.
Tutor's can also serve as a motivating and driving character. Most of the time, self study can be difficult and students often divert from their goals, this is where the tutor can really help.
