Getting better at self-questioning his answers in practice questions we do. He is able to look over his work and identify where things are wrong as well as make the appropriate corrections so he knows what to do for next time. He is also able to transfer skills learnt in year 9 and previous topics in year 10 over to the topics learnt this term which is great to see as making links between the topics in maths is half the challenge.
A very positive aspect of Jasmine's attitude to mathematics is her curiosity, which in turn leads to a desire for understanding challenging concepts and a mature retrospection of her strengths and weaknesses. Each lesson she comes prepared not only with questions, but with her own learning goals , as a couple of examples, she has requested that we spend time covering order of operations and long division and sometimes even to be given additional homework on concepts for which she would like further revision.
For February, I think Noa-Rose was getting back into the swing of things with school. Sometimes Noa-Rose solves questions too quickly and makes mistakes, but when she slows down gets the correct answer.
