Chemistry can seem a bit technical. It's all abstract formulas and content that seems impossible to learn and barely manageable to memorise. The material keeps piling up and how are students supposed to truly learn anything when they're constantly missing something and falling behind?
And it's not only about the grades. Sure, students who struggle with chemistry want to pass that test and get their grades up. It's usually their only end goal and that's completely understandable. However, we've found that once students start catching up and chemistry doesn't seem like such an enormous hurdle, their self-confidence improves as well.
When they have someone to guide them, make sense of the clutter of information and demands, students tend to struggle less in other areas as well. Your child could feel less anxious about tests and their performance, learn how to tackle tough situations and become more independent, all with the help of a local Yokine chemistry tutor.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
First session went well discussing how to use derivatives to find the maximum and minimum of a function Second session was focusing on understanding how to take advantage of derivatives when finding the maximum area of a certain shape Third session was finishing off the concept of maximum and minimum from last week by solving 3 questions Fourth session was working on series and recognizing between geometric and arithmetic series.
Ben has a good attitude towards our lessons. Ben has been putting in a reasonable amount of effort in math. However, I would encourage him to do some extra practice outside our lessons, to help reinforce our work. I still consider Bens working out to be disorganised and potentially confusing to a marker. I would encourage him to always try and set questions out neatly and logically, using correct notation.
not that i can pinpoint right now remember index laws, basic geometry, important formulas (eg. point distance formula) understand mathematical terms such as 'solve for ...' , supplementary angles, greater/less than signs
We were extremely satisfied with our tutor. She helped Chantal immensely and since then Chantal has done very well in school. Her Naplan results came back today and they were above the National and her School marks. Ezy Math was very helpful and understanding and I have nothing but praise for the company.
I have used other tutors and tutor services in the past however the difference with ezymath was that I received regular reports on how my son was progressing and also tips and tools to enhance his learning. The tutoring is very structured and also disciplined which kept my son on track. Yesterday we received his year 9 Naplan results and he achieved a Band 10, and his results last semester at school were excellent and his confidence and ability has improved immensely , many thanks to ezymath and his fantastic tutor.
Ezy Math tutoring gave me an invaluable opportunity and experience. With fortnightly advice, support and materials I was able to give my all to my students. The reward being an invaluable satisfaction when the mother heard from my students' teacher that her work was really improving. I really enjoyed the experience and always left the students feeling like I had made a change. For prospective tutors I would say Ezy Maths is a great place to work, they provide plenty of materials, support and the staff are very co-operative and understanding about your needs
