Chemistry is just one of those subjects, it either clicks or it doesn't. Many students find maths and physics easy, but when it comes to chemistry they just feel lost.
And it's understandable. It can be challenging to connect the concepts to real-life, see how it all relates to their day-to-day. When they're struggling, students tend to give up easily and at some point, they stop trying altogether.
If your child doesn't catch on right away, or maybe they consider chemistry a complete waste of time, it can be hard to convince them otherwise. What we've found is that students react better when it comes from someone who they can relate to.
They react to mentors, someone closer to their age, who shares the same experience. That's why tutors are in a unique position to help a student grow.
That's why great tutoring can make such a big difference.
Want to find out how? We can allocate a local Aberfoyle Park chemistry tutor within a day or two. They reach out to you and set up a first lesson whenever you and your child can make it.
If you like the tutor's approach you keep working with them. If you are not 100% satisfied - we consider it a trial lesson and find a better match. It's that simple!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Haley is already doing quite well in many of these learning strategies. Haley has shown good improvement with "talking aloud", and she formats her working nicely. She needs to improve on avoiding rule dependence and avoiding lazy thinking. She is okay with problem solving, but needs to adopt a more broad approach in understanding the problem, particularly if it has many sections.
Generally positive, playful at times, but would still cooperate and pay attention when needed. He is not putting enough effort into his work. Markus is consistently not doing his provided work (The plan now to 'get' him to do work is a deal between us; no work means less resting time during our sessions. We will have to see how this progresses.)
I am really proud of the progress Riley did towards his classes, he had shown a great improvement concerning self-checking, showing confidence while reading and correcting mistakes. Riley is doing very well in class in general. If I'll have to choose of one factor that can really help boost grades even higher it would be to write everything that goes through the head while working out a solution without skipping stages.
Chloe gets along very well with Huey & has told us she feels much better already.
Nikki is a lovely teacher and mimo likes her so much so i hope academically she gets better especially with division and multiplication.
We have been extremely happy with Thanh. Bella really likes her and feels very comfortable with the tutoring so far.
