No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Alfred Cove chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Alfred Cove, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
When answering problems, Court tends to stop when she is not sure of her solution. I'll encourage her more that it's okay to be wrong (hopefully only during our sessions) compared to giving up on the problem.
Cordelia is a good student to teach and seems interested in the topic. She needs to have more confidence in herself when attempting questions instead of assuming she doesn't know the answer. This alone would greatly improve her mathematics skills. Cordelia is always available on time and has all the work she needs completed, with the work for that session ready and the room ready. During the session she seems is engaged and is asking lots of good questions. No concerns at all.
None that I can see at this stage - Alex seems to be confident with the fractions/decimals/percentages work of this term. Basic number manipulation skills are excellent. Again with the formatting.
We are very happy with Sean, the kids have responded very well to him and even look forward to the sessions!
Abed is passionate about maths, and is very keen to teach his student, and ensure they are succeeding. He is an asset to Ezymaths.
Things are going really well. Kai enjoys Noah's tutoring. On his last math's assessment he received 80% in comparison to the one before which was 55%. I met with his math's school teacher and she has provided upcoming topics for Noah to discuss with Kai as well as 2 practice tests. Her feedback was positive too and constructive. If we stay on this path, I'm confident that it will prepare him well for the upcoming HSC.
