Does your child need help with physics?
Maybe they need an extra push to reach that grade or they want to go from keeping up to excelling at science. Whatever the reason, we can match you with the right local Altona physics tutors who understand your child's needs and knows how to get them where they want to be.
Most students start out interested in physics and perform fairly well on tests. But once the concepts become more and more complex most parents notice a change. It's when students start believing they don't "have what it takes" and their self-confidence starts to plummet.
Parents usually try to intervene, remind their child that geniuses are not born, that they work hard and face obstacles like anyone else, and for some students, that's enough. Others, however, need more support.
That's where we step in!
We find tutors and organise one-on-one physics tutoring in Altona, at your home or any other place that works for you. We work around your schedule.
When it comes to payment we like to keep it simple. You pay a simple hourly rate, no extra or hidden fees.
And what if, for whatever reason, the perfect match doesn't happen on the first try? That's completely fine, it happens!
In case you are not completely happy with the first lesson, it comes as a free trial. We simply keep looking for another tutor, someone better suited to help your child.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Quinn has shown significant improvement in his pen to paper use, self-questioning and in his ability to talk aloud or explain concepts. He needs to keep working on his back-checking (plus/minuses and formulas) and transferring skills ( using concepts learned before as pre-requisition for new topics, e.g. using the quadratic formula to solve quadratic equations is the learned concept. Using this to solve quadratic equations needs to be improved.
David is always enthusiastic and excited to learn new concepts, no matter how challenging. David's determination to achieve his goals is always exemplary. He is always attentive and loves to soak up every new bit of information. David completes his homework and reviews his work regularly, although I would like to see his sheets glued in and his homework completed every week before the lesson begins.
More practice with the CAS calculator is required and he needs to complete more problem solving questions because he does well in rote memorisation, but needs to work on his critical thinking skills. Extended response and short answer questions.
Anastasia & Surya seem to be getting on & making progress. Surya seems quite patient, non judgmental & able to explain concepts to Anastasia in a clear & accessible way.
Olivia is doing GREAT! She gets on well with Alex and he is very good at making it fun and keeping it interesting. (she is easily distracted so this isn't easy!)
Matthew is “very happy with Kirstenâ€. That is the best feedback a child can give. Kirsten has a big challenge to get Matthew up to speed. Kirsten is setting him homework and has increased the time that she is spending with Matthew as he needs to put in extra study with exams pending. We can't ask for more than that from a tutor than to be flexible and mindful of Matthews schedule and timelines. Overall Matthews school results are improving across all learning areas.
