In reality, it's not just about the content, it's more about the way of thinking. Of course, exams and grades are important, but we've also found that students tend to react positively to tutors who show them these nuances in learning.

She is enthusiastic when I arrive, always has a smile on her face when I'm teaching her something. She's always excited to learn new things, always asks me to give her more challenging problems. She concentrates really well. Sometimes I feel like I can see her brain training her thoughts. She gets distracted quite easily between problems, but she concentrates on the one question well and doesn't move on until she's answered it correctly.
Joseph is competent in all the areas we have covered so far, what is important is that he focuses of improving his consistency Joesph's biggest weakness is his propensity to make careless errors. He also needs to work on ensuring he remembers some more fundamental concepts, which he may forget if we have not covered them recently. Hopefully with greater practice and depth, he can improve his consistency.
