The value in a one-on-one private English tutor is that they can focus entirely on your child and organise lessons around their specific goals and challenges. With the right support mechanisms every student can succeed. And ... that success is often life-changing for students, it serves as undeniable proof that if they apply themselves they can achieve success where they previously failed. It's just about the best lesson a young person can learn.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Michelle utilised several learning strategies during the lessons including talking aloud and pen to paper. She often back checked while working through a question and was able to avoid silly mistakes by doing so. Her confidence improved significantly during the lessons and she never relied on rules to answer questions; she always wanted to have a complete understanding of how to do the question which helped improve her confidence.
Roger has a good attitude towards our sessions and maths Roger does work hard in our sessions however I'm not sure how that transposes into school work. Roger is very forgetful about school work, which sometimes makes teaching him difficult, especially when he doesn't have a text book as he is unable to articulate what he has covered but he works hard when we find the topics.
Jack is behind his grade level in Maths so he struggled with the more advanced concepts, like fractions and decimals. Jack struggles with subtraction, carrying the one with addition and multiplying by 6,7,8 and 12.
Everything has been going well - Isabella is very happy with her tutor and scheduling tutorials and communication with him has been no problem at all. We would highly recommend him to other students.
Daniel is great and established a good relationship with James from day one. That's the first part of the battle! We are now looking forward to James getting more confidence and mathematical skill over the remainder of this year.
The tutoring is going tremendously well. The system you use, the high level of communication and dependability shown by Nirvan, and the teaching style is working exceptional well. I'm very impressed with your service, and its meeting my (high) expectations. I fully appreciate that this is not a quick fix, and it takes time. We're committed to continuing this throughout Term 3 and 4 at least. The support and patience Nirvan is showing is really helping Emily, and he is supportive and has the capacity to challenge her at the right pace. I've asked her why some things that we've tried to work through before have made more sense when explained by Nirvan. She said that he works at her pace and stays with something until she understands it. Many thanks. Your back-office communications is also highly supportive of parents and whilst you're delivering on what you've clearly explained, I find your level of communication extremely professional, supportive and consistent.
