Chemistry can seem a bit technical. It's all abstract formulas and content that seems impossible to learn and barely manageable to memorise. The material keeps piling up and how are students supposed to truly learn anything when they're constantly missing something and falling behind?
And it's not only about the grades. Sure, students who struggle with chemistry want to pass that test and get their grades up. It's usually their only end goal and that's completely understandable. However, we've found that once students start catching up and chemistry doesn't seem like such an enormous hurdle, their self-confidence improves as well.
When they have someone to guide them, make sense of the clutter of information and demands, students tend to struggle less in other areas as well. Your child could feel less anxious about tests and their performance, learn how to tackle tough situations and become more independent, all with the help of a local Ashburton chemistry tutor.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Searrah still thinks in silently rather than out loud even though I've encouraged her to do so. I can see that it's how she's comfortable to solve her problems and therefore I haven't pushed her to use another strategy. She knows that it is okay to be wrong and to not understand something and has become confident to stop me and ask me what I meant or to tell me that she's confused.
Nikita has a great attitude during lessons. She does her work in a timely manner and is always enthusiastic about learning maths. She can get a little competitive with her sister and can feel down when she gets a question wrong. Nikita puts a good effort in her work and it can clearly be seen during lessons and from her homework. Nikita always listens and she does her homework consistently and does not get distracted easily.
At the beginning of lessons we are doing some quick addition, multiplication and time to ensure she is quicker at implementing these in her harder applications. Our biggest challenge that we will have to work on fitting into the lesson is fractions. Hopefully, we can do these every second lesson. Fractions are something we are trying to address but at the moment along with making sure she understands the current classwork. This could be something we cover during the holidays.
We are very happy with Joshua. He is young and energetic and seems to catch my kid's attention. His English is excellent and he has a very pleasing polite manner.
Ezy maths was very quick in finding the right tutor for my daughter, who is doing her HSC this year. Joyce was very well organized, caring, knowledgeable and used great techniques. Matilda was very happy with her and learned a lot. Ezy Maths gave us helpful hints on how to be prepared and what to expect from a tutor.
Phal has been amazing with our kids and she has improved their standard immeasurably. They have delighted in her passionate teaching style and have come away with much knowledge and strategies in approaching their maths.
