Every student needs help sometimes, and often that help is needed in English. From basics like punctuation, spelling and grammar right up to narrative writing, proof reading and literary analysis. The Australian curriculum is thorough and there are various challenges that pop up for students over the years. At some point most students could use some help and an English tutor does just that - help! Ideally that help comes before the student has formed a negative cycle or fallen into a no-effort habit.
What we do is facilitate that help as a home service, we'll organise an in-home English tutor in Ashcroft, or wherever it is convenient for you.
A local Ashcroft English tutor will come to you at a time and day of your chosing and offer tutoring help in a manner tailored for your child's unique situation. The first lesson works as a trial so that if your child doesn't connect well with the tutor, you don't have to pay and we can organise someone else for you.
The terms of service are super simple too. No contracts or minimum hours or cancellation fees or anything like that. You get charged a simple hourly rate. That's it.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Mason has improved his mathematical knowledge and skills during November. He takes instruction well and in particular has improved his lateral thinking (making connections between topics and in real life situations), as well as his setting out and formatting.
He shows good intentions in learning as he always listen attentively and asks questions. It can be seen that he want to learn more and is willing to put in the effort. It would have been even better if he could put in extra effort outside of the tutoring to, for example, do more homework.
No major issues experienced within the lessons. Trey needs to back check his answers a bit more. Trey understands mathematical concepts (e.g. Basic multiplication, carry over addition and subtraction) really well but he needs to memorise them.

Zoe is great, Dylan really likes her and feels comfortable around her which is great. as you said, we wont be seeing actual result right away but I think its going to work :)
Thank you, the feedback I got from Michael is that the tutor Gavin is great and quite understanding.
Just letting you know how happy Jack is with Yuta. He's so lovely, friendly and polite and has been great helping Jack with his maths. Jack understands the way Yuta explains things and is much more confident with his maths now. So far this year Jack has been struggling with maths and his marks have been in the 40% range. Since the tutoring with Yuta started, Jack has sat for his Year 11 Yearly Exam in which he got 70% which is a great improvement, so he was really happy about that and feels that with continued tutoring he can improve a little more. Jack would like to continue tutoring with Yuta after the school holidays when school resumes, so we will keep in touch and book in again once Jack receives his new Year 12 Timetable. Thankyou.
