Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. It's hard in the beginning, you don't know what to look out for and even though you recognise things here and there that doesn't mean you can read a formula, let alone understand it. Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
I have noticed this month that Lola's formatting skills in particular have improved, laying out questions in a logical and easily understandable manner. Similarly, I have seen her abilities to transfer known skills into harder questions improve in our lessons, but there is still work to be done with complex, multi stage and word problems in this area.
generally good, although in general motivation to learn could be better(more motivated to want to learn English). generally good, but sometimes lazy homework completion. However, in class effort is good. good, organised.
Although she has been improved, her biggest weakness is still the algebra and algorithm (sets of rules to be followed in calculations), this is due to both lack of understanding of algorithm which should be developed in earlier years in the high school.
Kicking myself for not starting tutor earlier! It would have helped tremendously with Jayden's studies and being able to work independently!
We had the first session with Nick today and he was fantastic! He focused on the right areas and really engaged with Yvette....I think we are on the right track.
