Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. It's hard in the beginning, you don't know what to look out for and even though you recognise things here and there that doesn't mean you can read a formula, let alone understand it. It's one of those subjects where it clicks or it just doesn't. Tutors we work with understand that. They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping...
They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping others do the same. They know the pitfalls, where to spend that extra hour and what you need to memorise before you can completely understand a concept.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Hishaam enjoys our sessions which really helps in his understanding as he wants to learn. He puts pen to paper which allows me to see what he is thinking. He is back checking his work more and noticing his own errors and correcting them himself or asking if he has done the correct thing.
He has a very good attitude towards the work and he always manages to give the assigned work his best effort although I do not believe that he conducts a second attempt at any problems areas in the homework for example. His work habits are good but following on I observe that he seems to try to get all the set work done in one sitting and may not go back to something in a few days time to have another go.
Hugo continues to have some issues with word-based problems, though his ability to understand the underlying question is improving. He has also missed some school lately, and so there have been some gaps in his learning that needed or possibly still need to be filled.
We will definitely take it up again next year as it has been beneficial to the twins and their confidence has also grown. We have recommended Ezy Math Tutoring and Lewis to other parents as well.
Lyna was fantastic, incredibly intelligent and broke things down to measurable and achievable stepping stones to be able to understand formulas correctly.
Venessa was great and we will be asking her to come back again in the new year.
