Every student needs help sometimes, and often that help is needed in English. From basics like punctuation, spelling and grammar right up to narrative writing, proof reading and literary analysis. The Australian curriculum is thorough and there are various challenges that pop up for students over the years. At some point most students could use some help and an English tutor does just that - help! Ideally that help comes before the student has formed a negative cycle or fallen into a no-effort habit.
What we do is facilitate that help as a home service, we'll organise an in-home English tutor in Clyde, or wherever it is convenient for you.
A local Clyde English tutor will come to you at a time and day of your chosing and offer tutoring help in a manner tailored for your child's unique situation. The first lesson works as a trial so that if your child doesn't connect well with the tutor, you don't have to pay and we can organise someone else for you.
The terms of service are super simple too. No contracts or minimum hours or cancellation fees or anything like that. You get charged a simple hourly rate. That's it.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
I really enjoy working with Stephanie, she has improved significantly in our short time together and I know she is capable of far more. Our focus is on back checking, utilising pen to paper strategies and application of skills learnt in one area to skills in others.
Has a good attitude towards lessons, he is excited to learn new topics - an example being conversion of fractions to percentage and decimal. He puts in a great amount of effort and works hard each lesson to grasp new concepts and remember past topics. Good work habits, has great working out and takes care to make minimal mistakes which is great to see (means he isn't rushing - a common problem area for kids his age).
There are still areas that can be improved. Putting pen to paper is one area that she can definitely improve on. Lazy thinking can creep in at times but its an area that can be easily rectified. I also think being a little more energized as well with sessions with help her build more confidence and allow her to bring out her full potential. Nevertheless, its still early days and we are still forming a bond. :)

An amazing teacher who will have a lasting & positive impact on your child - he did for me. Highly recommend.
Alex and Peter seem like a compatible match and Alex says that he has found the sessions helpful so far. We hope to see some solid gains for Alex in the coming term.
