Chemistry can be confusing. Even if students pick it up in the beginning, the sheer amount of content and scope of principles can be overwhelming. It's no wonder most students need an extra push from time to time.
The best thing teachers can do if their students are struggling is approach their learning in a personalized way, really getting to know their habits and specific challenges they face. There's nothing like having that one person who knows your study habits inside out, especially when it comes to science. Unfortunately, in classrooms, that's not always possible.
Many parents find that tutoring helps bridge the gap, but locating a reliable chemistry tutor in Coasters Retreat isn't as easy as it sounds.
That's where we can help, that's what we do best.
You choose the time, what you want the tutor to work on and how often they should come. If you are not sure what your child needs, we will figure it out for you.
Once we have a chat we will match you with a local Coasters Retreat chemistry tutor and set up the first lesson.
And what if something doesn't seem right, you just don't like the first lesson? No worries, we won't charge you! Instead, we'll look for someone who's a better match.
As simple as that!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Good use of the learning strategies. Damon has recently been doing a lot of note taking and revision of past concepts from previous lessons. His confidence when approaching problems has significantly increased and his conceptual understanding of mathematical laws has also increased.
Amber always completes all work as required and in lesson completes all work without issue. I have noticed a definite increase in the past couple of weeks which I think is a result of her new found motivation. She is extra determined to revise as necessary and engage her teachers to aid her in success.
Ethan has no particular problem areas or gaps in his current year level curriculum (Year 4). However, he sometimes memorises how to do a problem rather than understanding the method he is using and why it works. We have been working on this by often asking him "Why is this so?" and "How do you know that the answer is right?"
Sophie has been good so far, Barnaby seems happy with her teaching method. She is a very nice, pleasant young lady, who seems to know all about maths and the curriculum.
Yes we are very happy with Nuradha. He is extremely friendly, very reliable and my son has connected with him well. I will definitely keep you informed of our progress.
I would love to offer some feedback on Derek. I discussed this response with Jaidan last night and he requested that I let you know that he thinks Derek is AWESOME. From my observations,Derek quickly created a great rapport with Jaidan which is important for effective communication. I have queried Jaidan after each session and feel that he is benefitting greatly from Derek's input. He is feeling more confident and very comfortable to source support from Derek. I could not ask for more at this stage so thank you and more importantly please thank Derek on my behalf.
