And it's not only about the grades. Sure, students who struggle with chemistry want to pass that test and get their grades up. It's usually their only end goal and that's completely understandable. However, we've found that once students start catching up and chemistry doesn't seem like such an enormous hurdle, their self-confidence improves as well.
When they have someone to guide them, make sense of the clutter of information and demands, students tend to struggle less in other areas as well. Your child could feel less anxious about tests and their performance, learn how to tackle tough situations and become more independent, all with the help of a local Avalon Beach chemistry tutor.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Aisha has made frequent and effective use of talking aloud throughout our first 3 lessons, and has shown marked improvement through every lesson. While she is confident is multiplication, short division, she is still hesitant on long division and some fractions work. This can be remedied by further pen to paper practice, as well as self correction as she does her long division.
Lily's attitude towards mathematics has improved throughout the semester. Lily has put in a lot of effort in learning her times tables and she can now recite them very well. However, her effort in catching up with content she has missed needs to improve as this same content will appear in exams. Lily's work habits are very good in our sessions but I believe she also needs to spend time learning and practicing the mathematical content by herself.
There have been some things that Murssel was not sure about, but after explaining the intuition behind it, she knows it well. No problem areas as of yet. If she has any issues with certain topics Murssel will ask for clarification.
Monique is very happy. In just two lessons, she has found a huge difference. I commend Katy as Monique finds her very knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. I am pleased as I too can see the huge difference in Monique's confidence. Thank you for recommending Katy, she is a marvel.
All good so far. Lauren has said that she is coping better in Maths at School so that's a good start.
Everything seems to be going along quite well at the moment, Lawrence is a nice tutor and Arawyn seems to like him.
