No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Coburg chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Coburg, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Abi has successfully been using the pen to paper strategy and talking aloud while working through the maths problems. She asks to go over things if she doesn't get it which is also good. It is clear that she has become more confident as lessons went by.
Finn has been focused in lessons, and has attempted the homework I've provided. However I think he could take it more seriously, as he has repeatedly avoided tasks like "make a system of notes like I've described" or simply not read parts of what I've written for him without providing any reasons. If he's stressed and feeling overwhelmed that's something else we could address (although he hasn't indicated that to me, which is why I suggest he doesn't take it seriously enough).
I have gone over all topics that I think she needed help with in the past (fractions, algebra and negative numbers). I do believe that she needs more practice with some of these as she easily forgets some of the process between each week. I will begin to expect a higher quality of homework later on as she has not been getting a lot of the homework questions correct.
Everything is great so far. Danica actually likes having a tutor. She was not keen on the idea at first but now she loves it and Lewis is great.
We have been using Ezy Math Tutoring now for around 18 months. We have found the tutors to be courteous, punctual and knowledgeable. The children have become more confident with Maths.
I found Ahmad a wonderful young man whom Kira really took to straight away and was so happy to finally start to understand Maths. He is a exceptional teacher.
