Learning science takes a lot of effort. Students not only need to know the content, but how they can use concepts, when they can use them and why it's the right approach in a given situation.
Scientific thinking isn't easily acquired, but the skills are useful across fields and many future careers are built on them. It's a fascinating field with many applications - that's why students choose to put in the time and learn it.
Most students manage to stay afloat or even excel at physics all on their own, they master most steps along the way. However, sooner or later everyone needs help.
Learning how to analyse and solve problems as physicists do is an enormous leap. So how can you get involved and make it just a bit easier for your child?
One way to lift the burden off your child's shoulders is finding someone who will be there when they need it. If they have someone they can relate to, with the right approach at the right time, students tend to achieve their goals easier.
This is how to get started.
Once you reach out to us we can allocate a local Lake Heights physics tutor within a day or two.
We set up the first lesson at your home, whenever works for you, and we charge a simple hourly rate. The first lesson comes with a money-back guarantee.
Sounds simple enough?

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Siennas use of strategies are improving. She certainly relies on mental strategies in which she is very strong in utilising, however she is starting to use the pen and paper strategies which have used to aid her in solving problems quicker and more accurately than through mental maths.
It is slightly difficult for Che to focus on a task although when she is focused, she can handle it properly. She is full of energy but gets tired of doing one thing very soon. After a couple of times, I am finding ways to keep her concentrated.
We are working with the information provided by the school, towards topics that will feature next year. While Charlotte is familiar with and understands all aspects, she does not know some of the content with immediate recall. To try to consolidate these concepts, I'll be dissecting them with her, to help her understand their context and purpose. I'm sure this will help her retain the details in the future, with more immediate and accurate recall.

The tutoring has started really well Sam is very happy with Din and has gotten off to a positive start.
Cameron is turning out to be a great tutor and Mitchell really enjoys the sessions.
Domenic has only had one session with Alvin, but he thinks he is 'awesome'. He likes the tips and tricks Alvin explains for solving maths problems. He's not keen on tutorials over holidays so will continue with more weekly lessons starting next week.
