If you've already thought about tutoring and are looking for someone local, a chemistry tutor in Monterey, we can help.
We are working with local tutors who can assist your child through high school chemistry. Whatever it is, be it going from inorganic to organic chemistry or simply being asked to understand experiments when they still don't have a grasp of the necessary basics. Tutoring may well be the best way to bridge the gap, especially when it's done right.
This is what we offer.
Conveniently, in your home or anywhere else, you choose the time and place. There are no hidden fees, just a simple hourly rate, and if the first lesson isn't what you've hoped for we won't charge you. Instead, we look for another chemistry tutor in Monterey who is a better match and more than happy to help.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
I have been giving Finn past HSC questions related to the areas we have been covering together but I have noticed that Finn sometimes gives up on a problem when he thinks that it is something he hasn't covered in class/doesn't know yet. He should be encouraged to persevere as often these are involving material from past years that he has forgotten.
Michaela is often distracted during lessons, and attempts to progress as slowly as she can to avoid doing work. The combination of lacking understanding and reluctance to learn is causing only minimal progress to be made.
The main area for improvement is in converting what has been learned in the tutoring sessions to exam situations. A lot of careless errors have been made in the previous exams due to nerves, and by becoming more accustomed to having to perform under pressure by doing several practice papers, these should significantly reduce.

Yes l'm happy at the moment and Sebastian seems to like Kate. She comes and gets straight into it then finishes off with a brief summary of what they have been doing. Which is great. At the moment Sebastian has only had three sessions, so still too early to tell. However there was a day at school when they did some Maths and he said he found it much easier, which is fantastic to hear.
So far so good. Zachary and Gabriella seem to have a good rapport and I have noticed that Zac is working more confidently. It's early days though, so time will tell when his grades start coming through. Gabriella is a lovely young lady and we are happy having her as a tutor.
We have been very happy with Lawrence. He has been patient and on time every time.
