Ezymath Tutoring have provide us with great service and tutors this year. Whenever we have had any issues arise we get prompt, polite and friendly service from the team. We had to change maths tutors mid term in term 2 and this was sorted out with a new tutor being provided who was suitable and friendly within 24 hours which was an amazing turnaround. Emails and phone calls are always answered promptly and with care. I would recommend their services to anyone whose child needs tutoring in any subject!

Inside North EppingTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 9 Jack focused on manipulating algebraic equations, including expanding brackets and solving for variables, as well as revising simple interest and taxes using real-world examples.

Year 10 Siena worked through percentage error and absolute error calculations, then began exploring perimeters with upper and lower bounds alongside maximum error scenarios.

For Year 12 Matt, recent sessions targeted Faraday's law and Lenz's law in electromagnetism, plus extended response writing techniques to strengthen his physics trial exam performance.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student often hesitated to recall formulas for indices and trigonometry, reaching for notes or a formula sheet during revision instead of relying on memory. He needed reminders about which technique to use, one tutor noted after multi-step algebra tasks.

In Year 11 Physics, the struggle was with leaving multiple-choice questions blank in exams, losing easy marks by not attempting guesses.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 learner sometimes avoided writing out workings when uncertain—taking extra time to get started, especially with worded problems or fractions. This slowed progress and made it harder to catch up with classwork after absences.

Recent Achievements

A North Epping tutor noticed that a Year 11 student, Matt, now brings his trickiest physics questions to sessions and has started choosing the correct formula on his own for complex calculations—something he struggled with before.

In Year 10, Levi is tackling algebraic equations independently; last week he completed all set factorisation and expansion problems without help, a real shift from needing step-by-step guidance.

Meanwhile, Siena in Year 6 has begun talking through her thinking out loud when uncertain instead of working quietly and guessing—her tutor observed she now marks her workbook with notes on mistakes as she goes.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Epping Branch Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Epping North Public School.
