Chemistry can seem abstract, learning about elements and matter, how equilibrium occurs and how chemical systems react. No wonder students get discouraged.
All it takes for a student to go from a mild distaste for chemistry to understanding what is scribbled in the textbook is someone to point out what to avoid and where to put in that extra hour of revision. It's like with any problem situation in schooling and even in their personal life, students need to know about using effective strategies. Then all you need is persistence, staying on task until you reach your goal.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Lillian is improving in her ability to talk aloud and pen to paper and self-questioning but she still needs to improve on back checking as she makes small errors in her working out and does not pick them up until I remind her to check her work.
Student still passionate, however we had a pretty much long GAP for school holiday. Student try to cover the GAPs and still we need to keep working on his question solving approach and technique. it sounds student does not practice enough at home.
There is still a gap in understanding all the chapters covered thus far in detail. He has grasped the basis concepts but struggles with more challenging questions. He has not yet developed the ability to apply the simple concepts to more difficult questions. Whilst he completes his homework, he still struggles to complete additional questions given to him. Thus he does not spend time practising Maths, which results in him forgetting the material already learnt
Erin is enjoying working with Cassie and is already showing the benefits of working one on one with her tutor.
Taj is absolutely loving Brady. Although I don't think he will love Maths anytime soon he does enjoy Brady teaching him.
Everything has gotten off to a great start. Rose is lovely and is engaging Tyler.
